ACM - ICPC

ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest

The first line of the article is a contest name in english, so whole article will be presented by english.

We attended the ACM-ICPC for three days. The first day is preparing for the second day which is a real contest day, we checked in at 1:30 pm in the Application Mechanics building of NTU, we got a bag like this


There are a ID card, a map for NTU, a certificate of achievement, and a contest guide.


There was following a speech for us to get some rules of this contest and some information of lodging or eating.

After that, professor Yeh took us to look around NTU and told us little storys of building but he told us in whole english = =

We simulated the contest of tomorrow to test the machine or programming environment about 3:00 pm, and the last Q&A followed.

We moved to the Taipei Charming City Hotel, we are going to live here for two days.

Before we went to sleep, teacher taught us some tips for reading questions or programming. I still slept at 4:00 am, because there were so many great movies that night, so I stay up = =

The terrible thing is I needed to get up at 6:30 am, the contest will started at 9:30 am, after we ate breakfast in hotel, took the bus to NTU, at this moment, I want to sleep.........Not good= =

When Contest was starting, every one read questions, discussed with teammates, some teams solved first question in 30 minutes. That awesome!!

Contest was over, we solved one question, rank is fifty, our contest environment is like this

It is really over, maybe the next time to attend this contest is the next year, but the contest schedule was not over yet, we still got a banquest in the Taipei Garden Hotel. It was a real blast. I ate so many many many meat, many many sashimi ...


It is a balloon that got when solved a question, but it became smaller and smaller.

Anyway, It is absolutely a unique great experience.
